Our friends, Eric & Julie, over at 365 Hawaii have another great video for you…

When you get a stunningly clear day in Kailua Kona, the ocean views are amazing, especially if you can get a birds eye view to see all the way to the island of Kaho’olawe in the distance near Maui!

We take you on a one hour hike up the cinder cone- Puu Kuili hike within the Kekaha Kai state park near Maniniowali/Kua Bay about 15 minutes north of Kailua Kona, to see Halekala, Kohala, Mauna Kea and Hualalai from the top and point out the distant island.

We then show you the GORGEOUS blue water/blue sky day we were treated to at Kua Bay..and take you for a swim with us!

FYI: Kahoolawe is the smallest of the eight main volcanic islands in the Hawaiian Islands. Kahoʻolawe is located about seven miles southwest of Maui and also southeast of Lānaʻi, and it is 11 mi long by 6.0 mi wide, with a total land area of 44.97 sq mi
