Mauna Loa volcano is erupting tonight for the first time since April 1984 and we can see it from our home in Kailua Kona! There was a small earthquake tonight and what the island has been waiting for is currently happening..Mauna Loa has awakened. USGS says it’s in the caldera of the summit and is not a threat to the community. This is pretty surreal.
