What do you do when one of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii suddenly closes? Film it while it is empty of beachgoers! We took our 4WD truck up to the cliffs above Hapuna Beach to capture the beach with no one there during a closure event due to a broken water main at the beach, which has shut down the bathrooms and showers at this popular destination on the Kohala Coast. While we were up on the cliff enjoying a stunning view, we decided to show you the 4WD trails connecting Waialea Bay to Hapuna with a fly over of the gorgeous coves and bays along they way!

The Ala Kai Trail connects to the two beaches if you want to discover a scenic trail for hiking or running and you can run/hike/walk across Hapuna Beach and connect with the trail system on the other side which then takes you all the way to the Mauna Kea resort, as well.
The beach is scheduled to be closed for repairs until early November.
