Our friends, Eric & Julie, over at 365 Hawaii have another great video for you…
There are hikes and then there are HIKES. This one, at over 6 miles with an almost 2,000 foot elevation gain, is one of the HIKES on the Big Island of Hawaii. Pu’u Wa’a Wa’a is a cinder cone with a view from the top so epic that we were willing to spend HOURS hiking to get to see it!
The steep trail to the tippy top makes you want to jump for joy and do crazy things in front of a camera in front of the congratulations sign..lol.
Challenging, scenic, long, and definitely a place to see HOW BIG this island is when you look out as far as you can see in every direction and see nothing but nature, ocean, grass lands and dry forests.
