When the surf is calm, Magic’s Beach is THE beach to come to when you are in Kailua Kona! Lots of soft white sand in the summer, blue water and great snorkeling. HOWEVER, the surf can surprise folks as it comes up quickly and crashes right on the beach, giving it its nickname, Tragic Slams.
Listen to the lifeguard and watch others before going out if there is even a medium surf. On a calm day, this beach is paradise, but on a large surf day, it’s better just to watch!
